FRAGMENTED PERSPECTIVES

Neve takes fragments of our chaotic physical reality and rearranges them in an effort to better understand our human experience. Her ideas materialize in the process of tearing up the whole, contemplating the resulting mess and placing it within a new conceptual framework. Women in magazines are an embodiment of the ideal woman, which makes them a compelling subject to use in destroying the myth of perfection and challenging our banal perceptions of beauty.

 

What makes us beautiful is the ability to pick and rearrange the broken pieces of our story in a way that paints our soul authentically. Ordering the chaos of our fragmented selves is the starting point in our quest for meaning, our yearning for wholeness, and our need to make sense of our isolated, seemingly unrelated experiences. Fragments show that we are fragile, easily broken, but inherently strong, resilient and beautiful with an infallible ability to recreate ourselves.
